Heartland Credit Union is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to support employee growth, learning, and performance. This role will coordinate and facilitate training, manage learning systems and records, develop educational resources, and support initiatives aligned with Heartland's strategic vision, compliance requirements, and commitment to exceptional member service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of related experience in education/training and development.
• Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Strong verbal communication and facilitation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates onboarding, training, and development programs for new and existing employees.
• Develops, maintains, and updates training materials, job aids, educational resources, and learning content.
• Assists in identifying organizational, departmental, and individual learning and development needs.
• Coordinates learning activities and selects appropriate training methods and delivery approaches.
• Administers and maintains learning management systems, learner records, course assignments, and training content.
• Uploads, updates, and archives educational materials and learning resources within learning systems.
• Evaluates training programs and learning initiatives to measure effectiveness and knowledge transfer.
• Attends and participates in meetings and training as required.
• Ensures changes in legal requirements and government regulations are integrated into current practices.
• Stays informed regarding changes in training practices and trends.
• Pro-actively supports and advances Heartland's brand and culture.

SCHEDULE

Office hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00p.m.

LOCATION

In-office position, located at our downtown Hutchinson branch located at 129 West Avenue A.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAINING FACILITATOR

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of related experience in education/training and development is preferred. Experience coordinating events and activities. Group facilitation and training experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities. Strong verbal communication and facilitation skills. Solid writing skills.
• Ability to assist and support others.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and respond to continually changing priorities.
• Able to operate related computer applications and PC.
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Flexible and open to change.
• Stationary for extended periods of time.
• Valid driver's license.
