Join MoFo as a Learning & Development Manager on our Human Resources team!

The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, implementing, and managing training, new hire orientation, and employee development programs for our legal secretaries and other business professionals.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assessing the need for administrative support training and recommending priorities, approaches, and solutions to senior management.
  2. Creating and implementing quality assurance controls to identify skills gaps and measure training progress.
  3. Developing, implementing, and coordinating training programs and curricula to enhance client service and job knowledge skills.
  4. Supporting cross-training and skill development for administrative support staff across multiple practice areas and attorney levels.
  5. Collaborating with IT to develop responsive training ensuring administrative support groups are proficient with technology solutions.
  6. Maintaining LMS learning paths and relevant training resources.
  7. Updating the secretarial webpage with current trainings and guidelines.
  8. Designing and implementing new hire orientation training for secretarial staff.
  9. Monitoring new hire development through communication tools to ensure successful integration and achievement of client service objectives.
  10. Developing and managing mentoring programs for professional and personal growth.
  11. Supporting career advancement programs for support staff and other professionals.
  12. Training managers and supervisors in feedback, confidentiality, coaching, and delegation skills.
  13. Staying current on relevant technology tools such as Word, Outlook, 3E, and others.
About You
  • Extensive experience in training needs assessment and program development for support staff.
  • Eight+ years of support management experience; law firm experience preferred.
  • Legal secretary experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively under deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Focus on client satisfaction and value creation.

Salary ranges are provided where required by law, with additional compensation options including bonuses, overtime, benefits, and retirement contributions. Salary ranges for New York and San Francisco are $128k to $179k.
