Job summary

Utah Transit Authority is seeking a Learning & Communication Intern to support leadership development programs, internal communications, and employee learning at UTA’s Frontline Headquarters. This part-time in-person role offers hands-on experience in a large organization, with exposure to Workvivo and event coordination.

You will create content, coordinate sessions, and handle logistics while developing portfolio-ready samples and communication skills.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Communication, Marketing, Education, Business, or a related field.
• Must submit transcript of grades and two letters of recommendation; GPA at least 3.0.
• Must have a valid Utah driver0 license; safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Create, schedule, and maintain internal communications on Workvivo.
• Help develop engaging content for leadership development programs and employee resources.
• Respond to learner questions and facilitate communication with participants.
• Manage Outlook calendars for development sessions and related activities.
• Prepare and send reminder emails and invitations.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for sessions and programs.
• Support class rosters, registrations, attendance, and communications.
• Prepare course materials and session packets.
• Assist with room setup, A/V, and technology checks.
• Provide day-of support to ensure smooth sessions.
• Troubleshoot virtual/hybrid sessions (Zoom, Teams)
• Assist with general administrative duties for the Leadership Development team.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborative activities.
