Cuyahoga Community College's Learning Commons at Metropolitan Campus is seeking a student tutor/peer facilitator. The role requires leading 2-3 study sessions weekly to help peers consolidate course content without lecturing.

You must be enrolled, maintain 6 credit hours per semester, and keep a 3.0 GPA. Training and supervision are provided as part of the Tutoring program, with sessions scheduled weekdays.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a student with 6 credit hours each semester.
• Maintain a 3.0 GPA.
• Must have completed the selected course with a B or higher.
• Must pass background/drug screening.
• Must meet with faculty weekly to discuss student progress and plan effective study sessions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate weekly, interactive small-group review sessions.
• Integrate study skills and test-preparation strategies into sessions.
• Create an inclusive, peer-led learning environment.
• Use active-learning facilitation techniques to promote peer problem-solving.
• Conduct 2-3 study sessions per week to support understanding of course content.
• Coordinate with the Tutoring Coordinator or Tutoring Supervisor to promote tutoring and academic support services to students.
