Job summary

Alpha reimagines the school day with faster learning and mentorship. As a Learning Coach you will guide K-3 students through app-based core learning, identify gaps, and implement targeted sequences in small groups.

This is a full-time on-site role at Alpha campuses; you will stay with students through the day, conduct short literacy sessions, and help maintain daily routines. A Bachelor's degree and structured-literacy training are preferred; visa sponsorship is not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9.
• 2+ years teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor’s degree; teaching certificate not required.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Guide students through app-based core learning, identifying gaps and maintaining daily objectives.
• Conduct short structured-literacy sessions with 2–4 students, delivering targeted sequences.
• Lead morning launches, life-skills activities, and campus routines to engage students.
• Motivate students toward weekly app goals using currency, leaderboards and gamification.
• Remain with students from launch to closing, addressing frustration with tailored plans.
