Job description

Learning Architect (Remote)

Reinvent Primary Education. At a Global Scale. With Joy.

Love learning? Obsessed with curriculum innovation? Fluent in education and fun?
This might be the most exciting role you’ll see this year.

bina, a global, accredited digital primary school, is on the lookout for a curious, strategic, brilliantly nerdy Learning Architect to help shape the future of what we call Precision Education.

Full-time | Remote | Global team | High impact | Serious fun

Recruitment is being managed by EQL EdTech, bina’s exclusive hiring partner. Details on how to apply are at the end of this ad.

About bina

bina is not your typical school—and we’re proud of it.

We’re building a full-time, online primary school experience for families everywhere. Our tiny classes (max 7 students) are led by fantastic educators and powered by our own tech-first, research-backed methodology. The result? Happy, curious, high-achieving kids in 30+ countries.

  • Students outperform UK & US national averages, hitting the top 8% globally
  • Our curriculum weaves together academic rigour, environmental learning, culture, and emotional intelligence
  • We’re a pre-seed, post-revenue startup with over $2.8M raised from backers like SoftBank Asia and Sparkmind VC
  • We’ve got big brains behind us—including the former UK Minister for Education on our advisory board
So… What’s a Learning Architect?

You’ll be the designer of our educational magic - the builder of our Precision Education system. Your mission: to create an ecosystem of learning that’s as scalable as it is personal, powered by smart technology, rich data, and actual joy.

Key things you’ll do:
  • Lead R&D at the magical intersection of curriculum, pedagogy, data, and EdTech
  • Translate global learning standards into detailed micro-credentials
  • Define the content prompts for lessons, games, and co-learning experiences
  • Design the learning evidence framework - what progress looks like and how it’s tracked (yes, we love rubrics)
  • Stay curious: bring innovations from AI, gaming, and cognitive science into our learning model
  • Run deep dives (aka “sprints”) with expert collaborators from around the world
Wait - what is Precision Education?

It’s personalisation at scale. Imagine you could instantly understand how every child learns best - not just by the subject, but by mood, time of day, social setting, and concentration span - and then actually adjust the learning in real time.

Lee is playing “Multiplication to the Moon” and gets stuck at 7. (Let’s be real - 7 is tricky.)
Is it just the number? Or is Lee past his 12-minute concentration window? Is it his post-lunch slump? Does sitting with Farah and Malik disrupt his focus?

Precision Education helps us see it, adapt it, and move forward - beautifully.

Who are you?

You’ve got the brains, the heart, and the vision to shape something truly meaningful - and you’re ready to play in the sandbox of the future.

Your Superpowers:

Academic chops

  • PhD in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or Developmental Psychology (from a top uni = bonus points)

Teaching & learning expertise

  • You’ve worked with primary-aged learners (online = great, IRL = also good)
  • Extra sparkle if you’ve taught internationally

Curriculum ninja

  • Deep understanding of mapping, sequencing, and aligning curriculum with global standards
  • You can design engaging, effective learning journeys across subjects and contexts
  • You love play-based learning and know your way around game-based assessments
  • 5–7+ years of experience in multiple schools or ed orgs

Tech-savvy & data-aware

  • You speak EdTech: data taxonomies, digital tools, seamless integration
  • Bonus points if you’re a gamer (or at least game-curious)

Leadership mindset

  • You’ve led expert teams and delivered creative projects
  • Product management skills? Gold dust.

Startup spirit

  • You’re adaptable, collaborative, kind, and playful under pressure
  • You care deeply about the work and the people doing it
  • You don’t just handle ambiguity - you thrive in it
What We’re Offering
  • Competitive salary + stock options (based on experience & fit)
  • Fully remote – work from anywhere you’re happiest
  • The chance to shape a live, working, growing education model
  • Real autonomy and support to innovate in a meaningful way
  • A team that’s global, bold, kind, and deeply passionate
  • We’re growing quickly—with momentum, traction, and product-market fit

This is not a role where you’re building something from zero. It exists. It’s good. But it’s ready to be transformed into something incredible - and you’re the one to architect it.
