Job summary

Electric Machinery Company, a division of WEG Electric Corp., in Minneapolis, MN, seeks a Training Specialist to design and implement a comprehensive training program for both union and non-union employees, aligning with business objectives.

You will assess learning needs, create instructional materials, deliver programs, and drive LMS implementation and administration across departments, including onboarding, safety, and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Learning & Development or related field.
  • 5+ years in a training role with LMS experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing union environments is preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office, HRIS and SAP systems.
  • Strong communication, design, facilitation and project skills.

Responsibilities

  • Bridge leadership and staff to provide relevant development opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver union/non-union training programs, instructor-led and LMS-based.
  • Lead LMS implementation and ongoing administration to support learning goals.
  • Partner with SMEs across departments to identify content needs and gaps.
  • Facilitate training using workshops, coaching, and mentoring techniques.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs accordingly.
