Job summary

Chaffey College is seeking a Research and Data Solutions Analyst to work in-person at Rancho Cucamonga, CA. You will develop and maintain data analytics infrastructure, automate learning analytics with predictive modeling, and build front-end visualizations for campus users.

You will provide data coaching, collaborate on research design, and conduct studies to evaluate instructional and student services programs. Strong background in statistics, data management, and visualization is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social/behavioral sciences, statistics, or related field.
• Knowledge of standard statistical procedures for sampling, correlation, projections, instrument design, and qualitative measures.
• One year of experience applying practical statistical and research methods.
• One year of experience in a postsecondary education environment with faculty, students, and staff.
• Ability to translate data into actionable information.
• Expertise in data management and predictive analytics.
• Knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau or R-Shiny.
• Ability to collaborate and guide on data use for decision-making.
• Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds in a community college environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain learning/data analytics infrastructure for the campus.
• Develop and automate a learning analytics framework using predictive modeling.
• Build front-end visualizations and data tools for the campus audience.
• Provide data coaching to improve instruction, student, and administrative outcomes.
• Collaborate with others on research design and data solutions.
• Review student preparation levels to inform course outcomes.
• Design and conduct learning outcomes assessments and report findings.
• Develop research for evaluating instructional and student services.
• Maintain project databases for analysis of program patterns and trends.
• Provide research support and technical assistance for instructional and student services.
• Prepare written reports with tables, graphics, and statistical content.
• Conduct statistical, demographic, and empirical studies for district programs.
• Design studies to evaluate program implementations.
• Attend research-related meetings and workshops.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
