Job summary

Linn-Benton Community College is hiring a Learn & Earn student employee to perform dishwashing duties in the campus dining facilities. You will open/close the dish room, maintain sanitary conditions, and assist with related cleaning tasks during operating hours from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.

Eligible candidates must be enrolled in at least six LBCC credits, maintain satisfactory academic progress, and have or obtain a Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC and maintain satisfactory academic progress.
• Requires previous food service experience and a Food Handler’s Card (or obtain within 30 days).
• Must read, write and perform basic arithmetic; follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a team and interact professionally with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic dishwashing duties for the Commons Cafeteria & Santiam Restaurant.
• Open and close the dish room operations; work 8:00 am–2:30 pm, Monday–Thursday.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work areas and comply with health codes.
• Communicate professionally with culinary staff and students.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
