Job summary

Dresser seeks a Value Stream Product & Quality Engineer in Houston to own mechanical design integrity for B-Series products and drive quality improvements across production and suppliers. You will lead ECOs, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional problem solving to assure performance, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• 8+ years of mechanical design experience in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
• Experience with 3D/2D CAD (Creo/AutoCAD) and BOM management
• Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem solving
• Cross-functional collaboration in a manufacturing/value-stream environment

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design integrity for B-Series products ensuring performance and manufacturability
• Evaluate production, field, and supplier issues to determine root cause ownership and drive resolution
• Own and execute ECOs, drawings, and BOM updates to correct issues or improve performance
• Provide primary technical support to manufacturing operations and resolve design questions
• Lead NCR/MRB disposition within the value stream and ensure proper engineering alignment
• Support Kaizen activities focused on yield, defect reduction, and cost reduction
• Assist with FAI and validation of supplier components
• Evaluate supplier changes for no negative impact on form, fit, or function
