Armstrong World Industries, Inc. in Lancaster, PA is hiring an Operations Improvement Manager to lead significant process improvements across mechanical, electrical, chemical and human elements.

You will partner with leadership to drive transformation and sustain improvements across the value stream. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, Kaizen leadership, and a shift from a task-based to a systems-based culture.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, facilitation and meeting management skills.
• Experience solving complex, multi-variable problems with sustainable countermeasures.
• Ability to learn and apply basic CI tools (5S, VSM, Poka-Yoke, Standard Work, Kaizen).
• Basic statistical and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with Minitab or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Identify and execute value stream or plant-wide improvement projects.
• Align kaizen and hoshin with plant results and lead Kaizen events.
• Drive MDI and Gemba processes to achieve measurable results.
• Build relationships with production and support staff to surface issues.
• Organize and analyze data sets to outline systemic opportunities.
• Coordinate with value stream leadership on sustainability efforts.
