Job summary

HNI Corporation seeks a Lean Development Manager to lead lean transformation for the HNI Workplace Furnishings team. You will drive lean vision with the BPI team, develop training materials, and mentor leaders in lean practices to eliminate waste and improve results.

Your role includes coordinating kaizen events, engaging executives to facilities, and traveling up to 50% to support sites and benchmarking visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Operations Management.
• Experience and training in Hoshin Kanri, with practical implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead problem solving events and workshops to drive improved results.
• Support Hoshin Kanri training and deployment.
• Mentor Lean practitioners from executives to managers in facilities.
• Develop BPI training materials and deliver hands-on training.
• Promote a continuous learning environment and drive adherence to BPI standards.
• Coordinate kaizen events, external consultants, and schedule training visits.
• Travel 30-50% (mostly domestic, potential Mexico).
