Job summary

Lean Focus is seeking a Director of Continuous Improvement to spearhead Lean transformation across client sites, starting in the Miami area. The role partners with the Chief Transformation Officer and Lean Focus consultants to deploy Lean in logistics, warehousing, and distribution environments and to train teams on Lean principles.

The Director will act as a shop floor leader, guiding CI initiatives, Kaizen events, and standard work while using data to close performance gaps and drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience leading cultural change to a Lean environment.
• Experience across logistics, warehousing, and distribution industries.
• Proven use of Lean tools: Strategy Deployment, Value Stream Mapping, KPI development, 5S, Standard Work, FMEA, Kanban, Visual Management, 80/20.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploying Lean fundamentals and training across company locations.
• Creating a problem solving culture and developing subject matter experts.
• Developing Lean/CI competences in site-level leadership and other key employees.
• Aligning Lean transformation roadmap with corporate strategy and site leadership.
• Utilizing CI tools to improve safety, quality, efficiency and cost while reducing waste.
• Leading and coaching CI/Kaizen events hands-on.
• Applying tools like SMED and material flow to optimize facilities and warehouses.
• Developing training materials and delivering CI content to teams.
• Using data to identify gaps and drive improvement plans with local teams.
• Understanding and applying financial drivers and KPIs.
• Documenting best practices and sharing improvements across regions.
• Providing support to leadership on CI initiatives.
