Job summary

Sharp Services, LLC seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer to develop and implement operational standards and procedures across manufacturing and facilities improvement programs. You will lead lean/Six Sigma initiatives and coordinate cross-functional teams to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Preferred candidates hold a technical Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years in cGMP packaging or related industries, with the ability to drive process improvements from concept through implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 2–5 years related experience in cGMP packaging or related industry or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing project scope and goals, resource requirements and deliverables.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams in structured problem solving (A3) activity.
• Lead and implement lean/Six Sigma tools or methods including 5S, kaizen events, value stream mapping, SMED, visual management, metrics and KPIs, standard work, 7/8 wastes, ANOVA, control charts, DMAIC.
• Develop and revise business processes within the COE from concept to operations and support functions.
• Coordinate COE cost reductions, PID formation and continuous improvement activities.
• Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and production data to determine efficient Manning and equipment use.
• Recommend methods to improve worker efficiency and reduce waste of materials and utilities.
• Evaluate standards for material, labor and overhead.
• Identify and facilitate projects to change product attributes to improve productivity/quality.
• Work on special projects as assigned.
