Job summary

MCC Label in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations, uphold safety, quality and sustainability standards, and drive continuous improvement on the production floor.

You will provide leadership to teams across shifts, coordinate with maintenance, quality and planning, and champion Lean manufacturing practices while delivering on-time, defect-free RFID label production for our global customers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or Business helpful, not required.
• Minimum of two years progressive experience in the role(s) you are supervising.
• 3-5 years of previous supervisory experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment preferred.
• Printing industry experience is very helpful, but not required.
• Able to be a change agent in complex transformational activities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to and enforces safety requirements and conducts safety observations/audits.
• Provides leadership to departments on shift to meet company strategies and goals.
• Serves as technical resource for assigned work areas.
• Supports when flow in the process stalls and coordinates with teams to resolve issues.
• Participates in meetings on quality, safety, performance, staffing, shipping and scheduling.
• Collaborates with Sales/Operations/HR leadership as needed to resolve conflicts.
• Works with Production Manager to align initiatives with plant goals and reinforce activities.
• Mentors and develops team members and provides constructive feedback.
• Coordinates training for team on specific tasks.
• Manages daily staffing and cross-trains across shifts.
• Communicates concerns at shift changes and with other departments.
