Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz USA Inc. seeks a Production Supervisor to lead the RF racking, cabling, and system support for VCS projects. You’ll supervise technicians, ensure compliant installation of hardware and PDUs, and drive LEAN improvements onsite in Frederick, MD.

This role demands hands-on leadership, strong QA, and coordination with engineering and procurement to meet government and NGO requirements. The position is based in a new Frederick facility, onsite 5 days weekly, with a total compensation

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data center operations, server integration, systems integration.
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Deep familiarity with server rack standards and power distribution (PDUs).
• Expertise in structured cabling (Cat6, Fiber Optic, HDMI) and cable management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technicians and assembly staff.
• Coordinate daily workflows, assign tasks, and manage shift schedules to meet production deadlines.
• Provide hands-on training to staff on cabling standards, hardware mounting, and VCS installation protocols.
• Conduct performance reviews and ensure safety and policy adherence.
• Oversee Rack & Stack process including unboxing, rail installation, mounting hardware, power connectivity, and network patching.
• Ensure installations follow Rack Elevation Diagrams and Wiring Schematics.
• Implement QA checklist to prevent cabling errors or misplacements before config/testing.
• Manage cable management for airflow and maintenance.
• Coordinate with warehouse and procurement to ensure components are available.
• Work with Network and Design Engineers to resolve discrepancies between design and constraints.
• Coordinate with Integration and QA for smooth hand-offs to software configuration.
• Provide regular progress reports to Production Manager on throughput and bottlenecks.
• Apply LEAN practices for continuous improvement.
