Job summary

Dana Corp in Humboldt, TN is seeking a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations, ensure materials flow smoothly, machines run reliably, and safety standards are met. You will mentor team members and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; technical field degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years supervisory or lead manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement ideas to improve safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping.
Understand and implement union contracts and plant policies fairly.
Monitor and adjust production assignments based on demand and part availability.
Counsel and take disciplinary action when needed.
Assist in orientation and training of new team members.
Coordinate schedule with production control and other supervisors.
Communicate with Operations Manager and other disciplines to minimize problems.
Monitor daily production reports and implement corrective actions.
Review daily requirements and allocate personnel efficiently.
Focus on quality assurance and participate in 5S and safety initiatives.
Ensure safety by educating staff on accident policies and reporting incidents.
Performs any other duties as assigned.
