Job summary

SC Johnson is seeking an Aerosols and Liquids Operator to support safe, efficient production across lines. The role focuses on reducing downtime, improving quality, and applying Lean methods to eliminate losses while working with cross-functional teams.

The candidate should have a track record in manufacturing, problem solving, and teamwork; strong analytical skills and flexibility to cover back shifts are preferred. This position requires physical work and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proven teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Flexibility to work in teams and independently.
• Clear communication within a team.
• Lean manufacturing experience a plus.
• SMED/quick-changeover experience preferred.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience noted.
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Robotics awareness is a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supply line(s) with non-finished goods from staging area.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process/equipment issues.
• Maximize uptime and reduce scrap.
• Maintain and improve quality standards.
• Apply root cause problem solving methods.
• Identify wastes and eliminate losses.
• Perform quick changeovers & work toward changeover reduction.
• Support Autonomous Production Teams focused on loss elimination.
• Support plant audits: GMP, SQA, ISO, SEA, housekeeping, centerlining.
• Apply Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, etc.).
• Complete required training grid within timeframe.
• Analyze data from collection systems to determine next steps.
• Capable of minor machine adjustments.
• Participate in fishbone 5 Why analysis for root cause.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and SAP & SMED.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace per SCJ policies.
• Interact professionally within the team and business environment.
• Develop and maintain standard work and SOPs.
• Show adaptability with various shift assignments.
• Must be available for overtime as needed.
