Job summary

Advanced Telemetry Systems, Inc. in Cambridge, MN, is seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, lead a ~30-person team, and drive Lean initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.

You will coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing and Shipping, develop production schedules, ensure quality standards, and continuously optimize workflows to meet delivery and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production operations.
• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication across all levels.
• Experience with manufacturing ERP and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise approximately 30 manufacturing employees.
• Oversee daily production of wildlife tracking devices and related products.
• Ensure production meets quality, productivity, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Set expectations and enforce work instructions, procedures, safety, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping and others to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify and address production issues and bottlenecks timely.
• Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Identify and eliminate waste in manufacturing processes.
