Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist for our Fort Wayne, IN site to drive Lean across manufacturing, engineering and quality teams. You will reduce waste, improve process flow and strengthen OE through structured CI methods.

Responsibilities include leading value stream mapping, facilitating Kaizen events, coaching teams, tracking KPIs, and sustaining gains with visual management. Travel 10–20% and U.S. security clearance eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence experience in manufacturing, defense, or related environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/related field with 4+ years of experience; or graduate degree with 2+ years; or 8+ years without a degree.
• Lean Certification or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean implementation across the Fort Wayne site, partnering with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and program teams.
• Conduct value stream mapping to identify waste and prioritize opportunities.
• Plan and facilitate Kaizen events (shop floor and transactional) with sustainment through visuals and KPIs.
• Provide Lean coaching, training, and mentoring to teams at all levels.
• Establish, track, and analyze KPIs to support OE strategy and drive decisions.
