Job summary

Alamo Group Inc. is seeking a Process Improvement Specialist to drive Lean initiatives in a manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes improving efficiency, quality, safety, and cost through structured problem solving, standard work, and employee engagement.

You will lead Kaizen events, analyze processes, andTrain employees to sustain gains while collaborating across teams to optimize material flow and production line performance.

Qualifications

  • Lean manufacturing experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in process improvement.
  • Lean certification/training required (e.g., Lean Yellow/Green Belt).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects in assembly operations.
  • Apply Lean principles to optimize workflows and eliminate waste.
  • Analyze process flow, material movement, and line-side stocking to boost productivity and availability.
  • Develop, document, and implement standard work and best practices.
  • Conduct time studies to establish labor standards and identify improvements.
  • Train and coach employees on Lean tools and continuous improvement concepts.
  • Communicate improvement plans and results clearly.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
