Job summary

Arconic Davenport Works is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to lead Lean initiatives across the Sheet Finishing department, focusing on safety, recovery, training, and production.

You will analyze data with Excel and Power BI, drive capital projects, support problem-solving efforts, and work daytime M-F with flexibility for off-shifts. Bachelor’s in ME/IE/Mfg Eng and 3 years experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3 years manufacturing experience.
• This position requires access to controlled technology under Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and ITAR; authorizations may be required.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate & implement Lean Manufacturing principles across the department’s material flow paths; gain a complete view of the area’s manufacturing process.
• Focus on tactical projects in safety, recovery improvement, training, and production.
• Coordinate efforts on process improvements, including capital projects and reliability improvements; support problem-solving efforts related to process and machine improvements.
• Focus on data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI to drive process improvements and standardization.
• Lead focus teams to improve aerospace quality on Airforce Mill.
• Flexibility to work off-shifts as needed to support the functions of this role.
