Job summary

Milliken & Company’s Magnolia Plant in Blacksburg, SC is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to lead continuous improvement efforts on site. You will drive manufacturing process enhancements to improve performance, quality, consistency and cost, with typical hours Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm and flexibility for early/later hours and weekend rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of the conditions that impact the processes and products
• Use sound project management skills to manage multiple improvement projects
• Analyze problems and implement solutions using critical thinking skills
• Incorporate creative thinking to problem solving to identify unique and different ways to make things better/more consistent/faster/cheaper/efficient
• Prepare diagrams, charts, tables to reflect findings and support recommendations
• Work closely with the Product Development area to create new samples and products
• Communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of associates to accomplish project and location goals
• Participate fully in the Safety Process
• Participate fully in Lean principles and MPS processes
• Any other duties assigned by manager
