Job summary

The Marmon Group LLC is seeking a Lean Continuous Improvement Co-op to support deployment, evaluation and implementation of lean methods at Marmon Transportation Group. You will influence employees at all levels to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost through kaizens and value stream mapping.

Position offers multi-site exposure, flexible 4–12 hour per-week scheduling during school terms, and a pathway to develop leadership in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience with Lean/Automation projects (internships, co-ops, or class projects).
• Ability to travel 20–50% and relocate for multi-term co-ops.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with local team to identify process gaps and implement improvements.
• Manage lean transformational activities and projects at a plant.
• Collaborate with automation team to optimize processes before automating.
• Facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen/Impact events from ideation to sustainment.
• Lead and track action items; ensure accountability in weekly reviews.
• Provide training, coaching and mentoring on lean methods to staff.
