Job summary

DP World Contract Logistics in Rialto is seeking a Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement, optimize layouts, and reduce waste in a dynamic 3PL environment. The role focuses on line balancing, PFEP, value stream mapping, and standard time analyses to boost efficiency.

You will collaborate with Operations, Account Management, Facilities and Project Management, develop headcount tools, and evaluate capital equipment for projects while upholding safety and cost-savings goals.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations Research with a strong cost-savings focus.
• 2-3 years of experience designing solutions in logistics/warehousing/manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting warehousing contracts with engineering expertise.
• Experience with packaging and/or innovation.
• Proficient in Excel, Access, Visio and related project management tools; adept with relational databases, queries, forms and reports.

Responsibilities

• Apply Lean standards daily, including Line Balancing, PFEP, Value Stream Mapping, and Process FMEA.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives at plant level, develop standards, and optimize layouts for space and material flow.
• Develop headcount analysis tools to assess changes on business impact and support operations and IT initiatives.
• Prepare engineering studies to reflect changing processes in calculations.
• Measure and drive reductions in standard time and waste.
• Serve as the main contact for capacity, process improvement, and time inquiries.
• Collaborate with Operations, Account Management, Facilities and Project Management on solutions.
