Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking an Operations Manager for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 5:00am-3:00pm) to oversee core warehousing functions and drive performance. You will lead in safety, quality, and personnel development to ensure reliable operations and customer satisfaction across teams.

The role requires hands-on leadership, 4+ years of relevant experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office and scanners, and flexibility for overtime; a logistics-related bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including overtime, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met.
• Demonstrate understanding of GXO’s quality policies; establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives.
• Provide guidance to supervisors with respect to personnel, quality and safety.
• Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively.
• Make recommendations on programs to improve operations.
• Handle equipment and coordinate all maintenance needs with the maintenance team.
• Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner.
• Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices, ensuring the warehouse is compliant with OSHA and other standards.
