Job summary

Keller is seeking a motivated student for an Operations and Lean Co-op to support ongoing improvement initiatives in construction operations, fleet maintenance, and field activities. It offers hands-on exposure to observing processes, analyzing data, and developing practical tools under the North America Lean Manager.

The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficiency, with a hybrid work arrangement and periodic travel to Keller offices, shops, and project sites.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Demonstrated curiosity, willingness to learn, and adaptability
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team with periodic travel

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with field crews, maintenance personnel, operations leaders, and support teams to identify improvement opportunities
• Observe and document processes across field operations, shops, and support functions
• Collect, organize, validate, and analyze operational data using Excel and reporting tools
• Participate in root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving activities
• Support projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, productivity, and consistency
• Create process maps, standard work, checklists, and visual-management tools
• Assist with 5S and workplace organization initiatives
• Prepare project updates and summaries for stakeholders
• Help measure results and sustain improvements
• Comply with safety requirements at Keller sites
