Job summary

Entegris in Colorado Springs, CO invites applications for a Continuous Improvement Co-Op for Spring 2027. This 6‑month assignment offers hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, waste reduction, and data-driven problem solving, partnering with operations, engineering, quality, and production teams to drive measurable productivity, quality, safety, and cost improvements.

You will work 40 hours per week (Mon–Fri) starting January through June, applying Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, and TDM

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate BS/BA or graduate MS program.
• Eligible for co-op participation per university requirements.
• Graduating in December 2026 or later and currently enrolled in school.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives throughout the facility.
• Participate in Kaizen events focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Conduct Gemba walks to observe processes and engage teams in problem-solving.
• Assist with implementation and sustainment of 5S workplace organization programs.
• Identify and help eliminate the eight wastes of Lean: Transport, Inventory, Motion, Waiting, Overproduction, Overprocessing, Defects, Underutilized Talent.
• Support Kanban and pull-system implementation to improve material flow and inventory management.
• Apply Six Sigma tools and methodologies to reduce process variation and improve capability.
• Assist with root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and Process Mapping.
• Support Total Daily Management (TDM) with metrics and visual management.
