Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience in materials management and procurement in manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and lean principles.
  • ASCM or APICS certification preferred.
  • Experience in automotive supply chain is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the activities of shipping, receiving, warehousing and support personnel to meet operational needs.
  • Manage plant inventory levels for raw, WIP and finished goods to support demand.
  • Implement purchasing, production scheduling, logistics and inventory controls for uninterrupted production flow.
  • Oversee scheduling practices to align with plant and corporate goals.
  • Support lean manufacturing and new product introductions.
  • Coordinate with corporate materials and suppliers to optimize costs and processes.
  • Develop and manage department budget and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to purchasing and financial reporting.
