Job summary

ABEC in Springfield, MO seeks a Manufacturing Team Leader to guide a team through daily production goals. You will motivate staff, manage performance, train new hires, and work hands-on with the assembly and fabrication of mechanical components to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of direct manufacturing leadership, strong reading of tape measures, and experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• 2+ years direct leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform simple math.
• Proficient with hand tools and fabrication tools.
• Production planning/scheduling capability and self-directed work style.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with shift supervisor to set clear expectations and reports status at shift end.
• Plans project activity for the shift and assigns tasks to team members.
• Participates in assembly and fabrication of mechanical parts with proper procedures and safety.
• Maintains attention to detail and accuracy in manufacturing processes.
• Interacts with project managers, engineers, designers, and other team leads for problem resolution.
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reduce costs.
• Travel as required and assist with training and hiring activities.
