Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Connersville, Indiana is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist to design, implement and review manufacturing procedures, processes and equipment, with a focus on lean improvements, safety and quality.

You will evaluate quality control, plan workflow and layouts, lead trials of new machinery, develop SOPs and process diagrams, and coordinate maintenance to sustain productivity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing engineering discipline.
• 1+ years knowledge of CNC programming.
• 2nd shift (start no later than 3:00 pm).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate quality control processes and recommend improvements.
• Analyze workflow, equipment layout and space needs to improve efficiency.
• Ensure product and process quality by designing testing methods.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair to keep equipment operational.
• Develop SOPs, PFMEAs, process flow diagrams and error-proofing plans.
• Lead trials and evaluation of new machinery and tooling.
• Develop cost estimates for new programs and concepts.
• Document methods for qualification of machinery and gages.
• Plan and implement cost-reduction opportunities.
• Train personnel on new equipment and processes.
