Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist for its Connersville, Indiana site. The role focuses on designing and revising manufacturing processes, evaluating automation options, and planning factory layouts to improve lean efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing engineering role.
• 1+ year of CNC programming knowledge.
• 2nd shift availability (start by 3:00 PM)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve QC processes; recommend changes.
• Plan workflow, equipment layout and space to boost efficiency.
• Design/testing methods to assure product quality.
• Coordinate maintenance to keep equipment operational.
• Develop SOPs, process routings, PFMEAs and flow diagrams.
• Lead test and evaluation of new machinery and tooling.
• Prepare cost estimates for new programs and concepts.
• Document methods for machinery qualification and metrology.
• Standardize processes to improve safety, cost and productivity.
• Provide direction; source and install new equipment.
• Initiate cost-saving projects through lean engineering.
• Train personnel on new equipment and troubleshoot operations.
• Support new program launches; monitor daily quality and productivity.
• Address safety, quality and delivery issues on the shop floor.
• Assist lean scheduling and Kanban implementations.
• Drive manufacturing cost-reduction opportunities.
