Job summary

METAL CRAFT, located in Elk River, MN, seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer to optimize processes, improve product quality, and drive operational efficiency. You will develop and implement manufacturing plans supporting production of high-quality items while maximizing productivity and minimizing waste.

You will apply lean principles, identify improvements, and collaborate to ensure exceptional products for customers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required in machine tool/manufacturing technology or related field.
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred in engineering/manufacturing/mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years related manufacturing experience; medical or aerospace/defense industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost effective manufacturing processes and procedures from customer drawings and part models, ensuring conformance to customer requirements and quality.
• Provide ongoing technical support to other departments on manufacturability and project execution.
• Develop estimates to achieve lowest cost and shortest lead time while maintaining quality.
• Coordinate project activities including MRB, RCA, and production/process issue resolution.
• Recommend equipment, fixtures, tooling and automation to produce products and assemblies.
• Create process drawings and documents in a timely manner that communicate requirements and comply with industry and customer needs.
