Job summary

Swagelok in Strongsville, Ohio is seeking an Operations Manager on the 2nd shift to lead manufacturing campus operations. The role oversees daily operations, coaching 6–12 supervisors and guiding 100–250 hourly associates toward safety, quality, and efficiency.

The candidate will drive lean initiatives, align with strategy, and ensure regulatory and quality compliance while managing budgets and resources. A strong leader with experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or a significant amount of relevant work experience.
• 4+ years of operations experience (manufacturing or comparable experience)
• 2+ years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads by example in a values‑based culture and aligns team with company mission and values.
• Drives Lean Daily Management to resolve daily operational issues with strong floor engagement.
• Leads continuous improvement to improve safety, quality, service, cost and associate engagement.
• Applies lean tools to eliminate waste and improve KPI performance.
• Maintains safety culture and supports crisis management and safety escalations.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA and Swagelok quality management systems.
• Manages labor, capacity, and material constraints to balance resources with business needs.
• Develops and coaches the supervisory team and provides growth opportunities.
• Ensures alignment across operations and support groups; handles escalations outside regular hours.
