Job summary

Freudenberg Group is seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to stabilize and improve shop-floor operations in Aurora, IL. You will own process definition, standard work, and ERP/MES routings to enable efficient scheduling, costing, and performance visibility.

Responsibilities include leading Lean initiatives, root-cause analysis for quality issues, and delivering data-driven countermeasures while collaborating across functions and ensuring safety on the floor.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• Experience in FMCG or similar manufacturing environment with technical focus.
• On-site work in Aurora, IL with ~10% travel, bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Proficient in SAP (or ERP) and SPC methods.

Responsibilities

• Stabilize and improve manufacturing operations through process definition and standard work.
• Develop, validate, and control routings in ERP/MES to support scheduling and costing.
• Lead Lean initiatives (SMED, Kaizen, Gemba) to improve cycle time and waste.
• Analyze downtime, scrap, and rework to drive corrective actions with Quality.
• Build KPI dashboards and communicate performance to drive accountability.
