Job summary

Jing-Jin Electric North America, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Lean) in Farmington Hills, MI. You will lead Lean initiatives and collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance and supply chain to optimize production.

The role emphasizes hands-on process improvement, strong communication, and a culture of continuous improvement. Experience with 5S, Kaizen, VSM, standard work, and PFMEA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–7 years in manufacturing engineering or CI in a production setting.
• Experience implementing Lean in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, VSM, standard work, visual management).
• Identify and eliminate waste; drive plant-wide improvement projects.
• Analyze processes; establish KPIs (OEE, downtime, yield).
• Support new product launches; improve layouts and material flow.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, and error-proofing (Poka-Yoke).
• Collaborate with maintenance and production for reliability and safety.
