Gorbel® is seeking an Engineering/Engineering Technology student to join our manufacturing engineering team on a co-op/intern basis. You will work with the Manufacturing Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing methods, design production aids, jigs and fixtures, and gain hands-on experience with tooling, assembly methods, lean manufacturing, and quality control standards.

You will analyze workflow, propose tool redesigns, assist with data capture, and support continuous improvement projects

Formación

• Enrollment as Engineering or Engineering Technology student.
• Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move around the factory.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space, workflow and layout for efficiency.
• Develop and implement tool redesign changes of materials, methods, etc.
• Research manufacturing trends and proposes improvements.
• Investigate manufacturing problems and recommend solutions.
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Prepare requests for capital improvements and review health, safety and environmental aspects.
