Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a manufacturing team member to operate and support cellular production lines, producing exhaust pipe assemblies and components. Candidates should be able to rotate to multiple workstations, perform basic machine setup and inspection, and maintain safe, quality-focused output on a busy plant floor.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work orders, machine manuals, directions, charts and safety regulations.
• Mechanical aptitude to operate machines and perform basic maintenance and minor repairs.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to problems and changes in job assignments.
• Ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Operate and rotate within a cellular operating group.
• Learn and perform tasks across all workstations in the cell.
• Set up, operate, inspect and troubleshoot machines to meet quality standards.
• Perform safety checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Assist in 5S and Lean improvements on the line.
• Follow procedures for part changes and repairs as needed.
