Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a manufacturing operator to join a cellular operating group. You will learn to set up and operate machines, rotate through all stations within each cell, and perform routine quality checks.

The role requires reading work orders, basic math, and adherence to safety standards. You will contribute to lean initiatives like 5S and continuous improvement while supporting production on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work orders, manuals and safety regulations.
• Mechanical aptitude to operate machines and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills; ability to learn multiple stations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and rotate within a cellular operating group; learn and perform setup and preventative maintenance.
• Handle materials and tools; assemble and inspect products of varying shapes and sizes.
• Maintain safety, quality, productivity and performance standards; perform safety checks.
• Assist Team Leader with problem correction and machine repairs as needed.
• Participate in 5S, Lean implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
