Job summary

Permobil, Inc. in Pasco, WA is seeking an Associate Continuous Improvement Leader to support Lean initiatives across operations and participate in Kaizen events.

You will collect data, document standard work, and help eliminate waste using Lean methodologies, contributing to a world-class manufacturing system. The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 0-2 years in manufacturing or related fields; proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus strong organizational and communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, logistics, or continuous improvement environments.
• Basic understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision.
• Ability to train new team members.
• Ability to update WI's/SOP's as needed.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work on time.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean and continuous improvement projects across operations.
• Participate in Kaizen events, workshops, and improvement activities.
• Collect, organize, and analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Assist in documenting standard work instructions and process maps.
• Conduct basic time studies and process observations.
• Help identify and eliminate waste using Lean methodologies.
• Support 5S workplace organization initiatives and audits.
• Track improvement project progress and maintain documentation.
• Assist with root cause analysis using 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and Pareto Analysis.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
• Support Lean training and continuous improvement activities.
