Job summary

nVent is seeking a Lean Internship for the summer of 2027 in Blaine, MN. You will observe manufacturing processes, document cycle times, and identify value-added activities.

The role supports continuous improvement efforts such as 5S and visual management while collaborating with operations and support teams to implement measurable changes. You will be mentored by engineers and leaders, gain hands-on project experience, and have opportunities to advance to a subsequent internship or full-time

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and Operations Management, Production and Inventory control, Engineering.
• Graduating with an undergraduate degree between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Able to complete a 12-week Full-Time Summer internship from May/June-August 2027 in Blaine, MN.

Responsibilities

• Observe processes in manufacturing areas and document cycle times.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, visual management, shadow boards).
• Assist with operational improvement projects and update documents.
• Partner with teams to communicate updates and implement improvements.
