Job summary

Propulsion Technologies International, LLC (PTI) in Miramar, FL is seeking an Intern Technical to support production optimization through detailed time studies and data analysis. Under engineering supervision, you will collect data, document findings, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work on time studies across production lines, analyze cycle times and operator efficiency, and help prepare reports and SOPs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Fundamental understanding of manufacturing operations and process improvement.
Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
Strong data collection, analysis, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Execute time studies across production lines using established IE methods.
Collect and analyze data on cycle times, operator productivity, and workflow patterns.
Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering to identify improvements.
Document SOPs and work instructions as part of process optimization.
Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
Contribute to process mapping and layout improvement initiatives.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to review insights and propose solutions.
Ensure data collection complies with safety and quality standards.
