Job summary

Propulsion Technologies International (PTI) in Miramar, FL is seeking an Intern Technical to support production process optimization through time studies and data analysis. You will work with engineers to document procedures, map workflows, and prepare findings for improvement initiatives.

Qualifications include pursuing or recently completing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in data collection and reporting.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute time studies across all production lines using established industrial engineering methodologies.
• Collect and analyze data related to production cycle times, operator efficiency, and workflow patterns.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities based on time study results.
• Assist in documenting standard operating procedures and work instructions as part of process optimization.
• Support the implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
• Prepare reports and presentations that summarize findings and recommendations for process improvements.
• Contribute to process mapping, workflow analysis, and layout improvement initiatives.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to review data insights and propose solutions.
• Ensure all data collection and analysis efforts comply with safety and quality standards.
