Job summary

NFI Group in Wisconsin is seeking a Lean Facilitator to lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing facilities. You will drive kaizen events, develop lean training, and ensure 5S and Visual Factory standards are sustained.

This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and sharing best practices across locations. You will lead and train teams to adopt lean tools, promote a cell-based manufacturing environment, and actively participate in association

Qualifications

  • Experience leading lean initiatives in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven ability to facilitate kaizen events and train staff.
  • Knowledge of 5S, Visual Factory, and Value Stream Mapping.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate lean kaizen events across facilities.
  • Prepare and present post-event report-outs.
  • Develop and conduct lean training programs.
  • Ensure 5S and Visual Factory audits are in place and sustained.
  • Standardize lean practices across locations and share best practices.
  • Collaborate with process stakeholders to identify and implement improvements.
  • Educate personnel on lean approaches and expected improvements.
  • Promote a cell-based manufacturing environment.
  • Participate in manufacturing association activities to benchmark practices.

Job description

Responsible for leading and supporting continuous improvement activities using lean concepts and tools. Activities include identifying opportunities for improvement, facilitating kaizen events, coordinating and providing lean training, tracking results and following up to ensure improvements have been sustained.

1. Lead and facilitate lean kaizen events.

2. Prepare and present report-outs at the conclusion of kaizen events.

3. Develop and conduct lean training programs.

4. Ensure audit processes are in place to sustain 5S and Visual Factory performance.

5. Work closely with other lean facilitators to ensure standardization of lean initiatives and practices is attained and best practices are implemented in all locations.

6. Work with all related process stakeholders in all manufacturing facilities to identify areas for improvement.

7. Provide input into setting lean goals and direction.

8. Educate personnel on recommended lean approaches and explain the expected improvements.

9. Develop and implement appropriate problem-solving methodology and practices.

10. Promote and encourage a manufacturing cell-based environment.

11. Participate in manufacturing association activities to learn and benchmark best practices from other companies

12. Maintain a respectful, professional work environment with a focus on making Fabco a great place to work.

Maintain leading-edge knowledge of lean processes and tools, including 5S, Visual Factory, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Value Graphs, Standardized Work, Cycle Time Reduction and Set-up Time Reduction.

13 Responsible to ensure all controls (ICFR Internal Controls) identified under their area of responsibility are designed and operating as outlined in the internal controls over financial reporting.

14. Ensure policies and processes are established and adhered to ensure goals and objectives for all regulatory and legal requirements are met including organizational quality, environmental, health & safety programs.

  1. Other duties as assigned, including special projects, promote continuous improvement culture by engaging frontline teams in problem-solving and idea generation.
