Job summary

Carfair Composites is seeking a Lean Improvement Facilitator in Wisconsin. The role leads lean initiatives, facilitates kaizen events, and trains teams to sustain 5S and Visual Factory standards. You will collaborate with multiple facilities to standardize practices and drive continuous improvement.

You will develop problem-solving approaches and promote cell-based manufacturing, while maintaining a professional work environment and contributing to industry benchmarking activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading lean improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to facilitate kaizen events and present outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver lean training programs.
  • Knowledge of 5S and Visual Factory to sustain performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate lean kaizen events.
  • Prepare and present report-outs after kaizen events.
  • Develop and conduct lean training programs.
  • Ensure audit processes sustain 5S and Visual Factory performance.
  • Collaborate with other lean facilitators to standardize initiatives across locations.
  • Identify improvement opportunities with process stakeholders.
  • Contribute to setting lean goals and direction.
  • Educate personnel on lean approaches and expected improvements.
  • Develop and implement problem-solving methodologies.
  • Promote a manufacturing cell-based environment.
  • Engage in manufacturing association activities to benchmark best practices.
  • Maintain a respectful, professional work environment.

Job description

Responsible for leading and supporting continuous improvement activities using lean concepts and tools. Activities include identifying opportunities for improvement, facilitating kaizen events, coordinating and providing lean training, tracking results and following up to ensure improvements have been sustained.

Salary- $78,000.00 Non Exempt

Requirements
  • Lead and facilitate lean kaizen events
  • Prepare and present report-outs at the conclusion of kaizen events
  • Develop and conduct lean training programs
  • Ensure audit processes are in place to sustain 5S and Visual Factory performance
  • Work closely with other lean facilitators to ensure standardization of lean initiatives and practices is attained and best practices are implemented in all locations
  • Work with all related process stakeholders in all manufacturing facilities to identify areas for improvement
  • Provide input into setting lean goals and direction
  • Educate personnel on recommended lean approaches and explain the expected improvements
  • Develop and implement appropriate problem-solving methodology and practices
  • Promote and encourage a manufacturing cell-based environment
  • Participate in manufacturing association activities to learn and benchmark best practices from other companies
  • Maintain a respectful, professional work environment with a focus on making Fabco a great place to work

Maintain leading-edge knowledge of lean processes and tools, including 5S, Visual Factory, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Value Graphs, Standardized Work, Cycle Time Reduction and Set-up Time Reduction.

13 Responsible to ensure all controls (ICFR Internal Controls) identified under their area of responsibility are designed and operating as outlined in the internal controls over financial reporting.

  • Ensure policies and processes are established and adhered to ensure goals and objectives for all regulatory and legal requirements are met including organizational quality, environmental, health & safety programs
  • Other duties as assigned, including special projects, promote continuous improvement culture by engaging frontline teams in problem-solving and idea generation
