Job summary

Qualifications

• Seven plus years of supervisory experience in a food-processing organization
• Working knowledge of USDA regulations, GMPs, and HACCP
• Understanding of production scheduling and run-rates, processing times, change-overs
• Knowledge of safe manufacturing operations: OSHA, product quality, throughput, cost control
• Mechanical and spatial aptitude; ability to disassemble/reassemble equipment; handle complex equations
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, team-focused leadership

Responsibilities

• Empower supervisors and team members to meet operational and quality standards
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, HACCP and SQF
• Mentor and develop associates; communicate performance standards and recognize achievements
• Participate in plant management meetings to discuss production improvements and resolve issues
• Serve as backup to Plant Manager
