Job summary

Metallized Carbon Corporation, known as METCAR, seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer in Ossining, NY, to drive data-driven initiatives across production. You will reduce scrap, improve yield, and enhance throughput by leading root-cause analyses and Lean initiatives on the manufacturing floor.

You will partner with multiple departments to implement sustainable improvements, establish standards, and maintain safety and quality compliance in a high-precision environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial/manufacturing engineering or related field.
• 2–7 years in continuous improvement or manufacturing engineering in industrial environment.
• Strong Lean knowledge; Green Belt preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100, SPC, PFMEA, control plans, RCA.

Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide continuous improvement roadmap to reduce scrap, rework, defects, and costs.
• Analyze data (scrap, yield, cycle time, downtime) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Lead root-cause analysis using 5 Whys, fishbone, 8D, and Pareto methods.
• Partner with Quality and Operations to investigate nonconformances and verify sustained improvements.
• Provide hands-on floor support to test solutions and remove barriers to performance.
• Develop baselines, targets, dashboards, and regular KPI reporting to leadership.
