Job summary

PC Construction seeks a Director of Lean Construction to lead enterprise-wide Lean initiatives across regions. You will drive continuous improvement, coach project teams, and partner with stakeholders to reduce waste, improve safety, and enhance project outcomes.

The role requires deep Lean expertise, 10+ years in construction with 5+ in leadership, and LCICPC certification preferred. Based in Charlotte, NC with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in construction with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record implementing Lean construction methodologies.
• Strong understanding of operations, workflow optimization, and project delivery.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
• LCI Certifications (LCI-CPC) - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement enterprise-wide Lean strategies and standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and project delivery performance.
• Facilitate Lean programs, including Kaizen events, value stream mapping, pull planning, and problem-solving workshops.
• Partner with project teams to identify process inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and improve workflow effectiveness.
• Support project planning and execution to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and with exceptional quality.
• Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to project teams and emerging Lean champions throughout the organization.
• Conduct project site visits to assess opportunities, guide implementation efforts, and support operational excellence.
• Collaborate with clients, trade partners, and internal stakeholders to promote Lean principles and drive successful outcomes.
• Measure, monitor, and report on Lean performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging Lean practices, and construction innovation opportunities.
