Job summary

Alcoa Warrick Operations in Newburgh, IN seeks a Continuous Improvement Specialist to advance operational excellence on the Potroom and Carbon Plant. You will coach teams to identify issues, use structured methods, and sustain improved performance by linking field observations with data insights.

You will lead Kaizen events, analyze processes, and guide change with stakeholders across the site, fostering a safe, inclusive environment while driving daily management discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or business field.
• 3–5 years in industrial manufacturing with Lean/CI exposure.
• Six Sigma welcomed but not required.
• Proven ability to coach and facilitate problem solving.
• Strong communication and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Advance Warrick Lean Plan using Alcoa Business System and Lean methods to reduce waste and improve flow.
• Coach supervisors and front-line teams in daily management and structured problem solving.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and workshops to identify root causes and build action plans.
• Analyze operational data and field observations to identify improvement opportunities and translate into priorities.
• Lead change management, influence stakeholders, and ensure sustained improvements on the plant floor.
