Job summary

Textron Aviation in Wichita, Kansas, is offering a 10-week internship focused on Continuous Improvement. You will apply Lean principles to design, analyze, and improve culture, working cross-functionally on real projects with experienced professionals.

You’ll develop skills in PDCA, process excellence, and operating systems, with mentorship and hands-on project work. On-site only, summer schedule, 40 hours per week, with a prepaid stipend and opportunities to contribute to world-class aviation

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, sciences, or technology-related field.
• Action-oriented with ability to shift processes quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• Good analytics and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with common computer tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and drive implementation of Lean activities.
• Assist CI team with development of a continuous improvement culture.
• Apply PDCA/scientific method to operations projects and interpret technical data.
• Identify and address issues affecting Safety, Quality, Cost, and Morale.
• Support Lean events and deployment of Operating Systems for CI.
